"Warriorship: The Science of Returning Your Being to its Natural State.
You've probably heard lots of talk lately about the importance of giving off good "vibes", about how that attracts good things into your life. And, of course, how the opposite is true. The self-help gurus are saying it, the business gurus are saying it. Even respected nuclear physicists are saying it.
You may be wondering if it's all true... or is it just New Age Trash? If you read to the end, you'll not only find the answer to that question, but a neat bo*nus as well... Listen. If you don't think your life is going well, if you find yourself often frustrated, embittered or angry, if you're lonely or feeling down, then here's something that can make a radical difference very quickly...
The world's Authentic Ancient Traditions (the authentic versions of Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, just to name a few...) studied the human condition so deeply and precisely that it defies imagination. And they all came to a startling conclusion about the nature of reality: They all concluded that the basic energy behind this universe is LOVE. Now there are lots of complex, philosophical ways of formulating that, but they don't concern us here. All we need to know is the basic discovery - love is at the basis of who we are and of the universe around us. The old Newtonian viewpoint on reality was mechanistic and didn't understand this.
Now, however, we are able to measure the effects of positive and negative emotions on living organisms. So we can no longer deny that THOUGHT is a powerful energy. Yeah, so? What's this mean to you and me? Well, it means this: If love and compassion don't flow from you like a faucet, then your being (your mind-body organism) isn't functioning properly. And if you're not functioning properly, you're going to have at least some of the symptoms of dysfunction: anger, frustration, stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, health challenges, etc. Yes, some of these symptoms can come from other causes, but that's another matter. So it goes without saying that if we want to be happier, more relaxed and healthier, we need to deliberately cultivate love and compassion. If we really want to help those we love, we should be making a conscious effort to become more compassionate and caring. How can we do this? Let me give you a very personal example...
If there's one thing that can get me really angry, it's bad driving. So I know that I have to be really careful when I get behind the wheel, or else I just won't be too happy when I get to my destination (since I'm surrounded by the world's most incompetent drivers ?). If you're like me - and remember, this is just one example - you need to make sure you don't go into a situation like this unprepared. Before I start to drive, I ask for God's help. Then I think to myself, "With God's help I will mentally send love and compassion to all the other drivers I meet, no matter what they do."
Now, you may or may not believe that the Absolute principle is a personal God. But that's not the point. The point is to recognize that you're about to go into a situation that often leads you to a dysfunctional state of being, but that this time, you're going to USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. So all these bad drivers can become a source of great compassion and affection for me, if I go into the situation prepared. This way, I become a source of spiritual benefit to myself and to others.
You could apply this example to life at your office, your school or wherever. It's not easy and you won't succeed 100% all the time, but over time you can make great progress. AND THE MORE LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE YOU BECOME, THE BETTER YOU WILL FEEL ON EVERY LEVEL OF YOUR BEING. And now for a treat... If you don't think that thought affects physical reality, go to:
