Change Your Life With Aromatherapy
By Tracey Mumford
Have you ever wondered what you would be like if you could break certain bad habits? Maybe you want to overcome a personal goal that you’ve been afraid to tackle. You should create a plan with real expectations on how to better yourself.
By using aromatherapy, you can make the transition of a positive, healthier lifestyle. You have the power inside of you to change your life. Only you can do it!
Start spraying your home with essential oils to help you stay calm during your transformation. Incenses should also help soothe you, as they live a very pleasant scent that’s associated with spirituality. When you’re feeling tense, indulge yourself. Get a professional massage with essential oils. Soak in a hot bath with essential oils, or even give yourself an essential oil facial.
Onto the tough part:
1. Make a list of all the things you wish to change about yourself for the better. We’re not referring to physical characteristics. This is about life-altering decisions that come from within. One example of such: “I wish to quit smoking and eating better.” This statement is a realistic goal. You CAN stop smoking, you CAN start developing healthier eating habits.
2. Look over your list and prioritize the things you wish to change. Use “#1” as the first priority, then list the others secondarily, thirdly, etc…in order of priority.
3. Measure your success. It’s normal to ‘slip up’ the first couple of days. Don’t be too hard on yourself. But don’t let yourself over-indulge, while you sit there a ‘helpless’ victim to your own urges. You don’t need to make excuses for yourself. You’re a rational person that can make adult decisions. You, and only you, are responsible for your own actions. Don’t blame other’s for your ‘slip up.” For instance: “She light a cigarette, so I joined her.” That’s ridiculous. If you feel uncomfortable in certain situations, walk away for a few moments.
4. Reward yourself every time you’ve tackled something on your list. It’s a great feeling to achieve a drastic change that you’ve been tap-dancing around for so long. You’ve pin-pointed the issue, dealt with it, and now you’ve changed it into positive energy. Good for you!
If you’ve made significant positive changes in your life with the aid of aromatherapy, pass the word on! Let others know how wonderful aromatherapy truly is and how it can inspire them to make creative changes and positive impacts on their lives too.
